Sprint Training Group This group includes the short and long sprints along with the 4x100 relay. The coaches vary workouts for younger and older athletes as necessary.
Middle-Distance Group The middle distance group consists of athletes concentrating on the 800/1500 combination. They begin with general aerobic training early in the season and progress toward an anaerobic stamina and speed emphasis later in their training season.
Distance Training Group The distance runners are those athletes concentrating on the 1500/3000 combination. This group begins their training with the middle distance group doing aerobic base work. Later in the season they'll concentrate on advanced aerobic training. |
